Little People, Big Changes -- we're a kid-run community action group working toward a healthier environment by encouraging sustainable behaviors
This is the logo we designed and colored when we were eight years old! We attempted to show humanity in balance with planet Earth. Too often, the immediate needs of the human species become too heavy a burden for our planet to bear. We carried this weight in our minds when we pursued our campaigns to change unsustainable human behaviors.
You Can Make A Difference... No Matter How Big You Are
We are Jordan and Alex, and we started the organization Little People, Big Changes in 2006 when we were eight years old. The idea came to us after we saw Al Gore’s film, An Inconvenient Truth. We were troubled by the dramatic changes that human behavior wrought on our environment. With our youthful optimism, though, we felt that even though we were young kids we were capable of making a difference. We're getting bigger, and so are the environmental issues facing our generation When it comes to monumental issues such as climate change, damaging agricultural practices and pollution, we are all little people. By changing even a single behavior toward conservation and responsible consumption, we can each make a huge difference. Together we can learn to share thoughtful stewardship of this beautiful planet we inhabit.
We invite you to learn what we've studied and share your own ideas so that you, too, can make a difference.
